Putra Heights Blast Interim Report Expected Next Week

Investigators have already recovered the portion of the gas pipeline that exploded in Putra Heights earlier this month.
The Selangor police chief says the pipe is now undergoing a forensic analysis.
He adds that the preliminary report into the incident is expected to be completed by next week.
81 houses were destroyed in the gas pipeline explosion, while many more were damaged.
Meanwhile over a hundred victims needed medical treatment for burns and breathing difficulties.

The Education Minister has says no mercy will be shown to teachers involved in sexual misconduct.
She was commenting on the recent arrest of a teacher in Johor who allegedly sent pornographic links to a colleague.
The colleague also accused the teacher of inappropriate behaviour towards female students.

Also, the Education Ministry wants all schools nationwide to have smartboards by 2027, to help boost digital learning and classroom engagement.
Smartboards are interactive digital displays that enable teachers and students to engage with content using touch, stylus pens, or gestures.

The PM says the issue of the 'Jalur Gemilang' being wrongly portrayed by newspaper is not a trivial matter.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says it is an important national symbol, and reminded everyone to be careful when making images or illustrations of the national flag.
Meanwhile, police say they have so far recorded statements from 41 people over the incident.

Separately, Datuk Seri Anwar has hit back at American right-wing commentator Bill O'Reilly, who mocked the spending power of Malaysians when he talked about Chinese President Xi Jinping's Southeast Asian tour.
He says O'Reilly's comments were arrogant and showed a lack of knowledge about the region.
