New Zealand's Lifeline to Malaysian Students

New Zealand is offering a lifeline to Malaysians who may be affected by new US restrictions on international students.
According to the DPM, Malaysia is ready to send 100 more MARA-sponsored students to New Zealand, after several universities there offered them placements.
They are also willing to accept students sponsored by Petronas, the Public Service Dept and other agencies.
Currently, there are fewer than 700 Malaysian students in New Zealand.

Malaysian public universities have been urged to review courses that have a Graduate Employability rate of less than 30%.
The Higher Education Ministry says it's to ensure that academic programmes continue to meet industry standards.
