The Home Ministry is considering plans to expunge the criminal records of certain individuals.

It explained that the clean slate would only apply to those who've been convicted of minor or non-violent offences, provided they display good behaviour for a set period after their release.

This way, these individuals will have a chance to rebuild their lives by seeking employment or continuing their studies.

This, as part of efforts to help former convicts, who have shown good behavior, to reintegrate into society.

The Communications and Multimedia Content Forum is calling for greater accountability from influencers and content creators. 

This, amid growing concerns over attention-seeking behavior and misleading digital content.  

The forum adds that these misleading narratives, staged scenarios, and undisclosed promotions can lead to confusion and even trigger public distress.

The Health Ministry is stepping up efforts to address the ongoing staff shortages in the national healthcare sector.

As such, it's already prepared a memorandum for presentation to the Cabinet, adding that it is committed to improving the appointment process.

This, after the Prime Minister announced yesterday that the government would expedite the filling of over 4,300 positions at government facilities, to meet the healthcare needs of the people.

The JPJ has issued nearly 1,200 summonses to bus drivers and passengers nationwide since the new seat belt rule came into force this month.

One of the main excuses given for non-compliance was passengers claiming to be unaware of the ruling.

However, the department found that overall compliance on express and tour buses has shown improvement.

Police have confirmed that they're investigating cases of foreign operatives allegedly threatening the safety of Palestinian nationals in Malaysia.

As such, cops have advised Palestinians in the country to maintain a low profile to avoid being targeted.
