Check Your SARA Eligibility Today

Malaysians can now check on their eligibility to receive the one-off Sumbangan Asas Rahmah payment. 

The Finance Ministry says they can do so on the scheme's official web portal, SARA.GOV.MY. 

It also reminded that people don't have to register to get the aid, because eligibility is based on the NRD's MyKad records.  

The PM previously said that 22 million Malaysian MyKad holders are eligible for the RM100 assistance, which will be disbursed starting August 31st.

The Health Ministry has launched its workplace bullying guidelines.   

Among other things, the guidelines outline the ways to report and investigate workplace bullying transparently, fairly and effectively.  

Separately, the Health Minister says the government cannot impose an immediate nationwide ban on vapes, as it would leave the govt open to possible legal action.

A woman has been charged in court, for allegedly making false claims about the death of 13-year-old Zara Qairina.  

She pleaded NOT guilty to making statements aimed at causing public harm.   

The teacher allegedly claimed that Zara was stuffed inside a washing machine – a statement that was cited by the Home Minister in Parliament as an example of the misleading info that went viral following Zara's death.
