BUDI95: Start Checking Your Eligibility Today

Malaysians can start checking their eligibility for the BUDI95 petrol subsidy starting today.

You can do so by visiting the official website, at budi95.gov.my, and entering your IC number.

The new subsidy is being rolled out in stages, starting with police and armed forces personnel on Saturday, followed by Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah recipients a day later.

The rollout for everyone else is on Tuesday next week.

More workers are voluntarily topping up their EPF savings, in addition to their normal monthly contributions.  

According to the EPF, they are trying to boost their savings, as the country’s life expectancy rate continues to increase.  

The fund told the Malay Mail, 34,000 workers used the Voluntary Excess programme to add to their retirement savings in the first half of this year.  

It's is nearly double the rate seen last year.

Singapore has reportedly sunspended the execution of Malaysian K. Datchinamurthy, which was supposed to be carried out this morning.   

Lawyers say his family was informed of the matter late last night, but didn’t provide further details.  

Datchinamurthy was arrested in Singapore 14 years ago, for bringing 44 grams of drugs into the republic.
