BUDI95 Opens Up For STR Recipients Today

budi95 opens up for str recipients today

5 million Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah recipients can start buying RON95 petrol under the new subsidised price today, in the second part of BUDI95's staggered rollout.  

This, after the targeted subsidy system became available for police and armed forces personnel yesterday.  

According to the Finance Ministry, some 60,000 eligible recipients utilised BUDI95 yesterday, purchasing some RM2 million worth of subsidised petrol. 

The system will be opened for all eligible Malaysians starting Tuesday.

Driving licence renewals have risen by over 50% in just under a week since the government announced the Budi95 targeted petrol subsidy.  

The JPJ according to the JPJ, the department there were an average of 26,000 renewal applications a day since the announcement was made last Monday.  

It's because having a valid license is needed for recipients to buy RON95 petrol at the subsidised price.

Also, Cuepacs has urged the govt to review Budi95's monthly limits for civil servants who are on official duty.  

It's because some of them use their own vehicles to travel outstation for assignments.

Starting January 1st, those who are caught littering in public places will face up to 12 hours of community service.  

It includes those who throw cigarette butts and other rubbish out from their cars.

Police have arrested a lorry driver, over a fatal multi-vehicle accident at the Bukit Kajang toll plaza yesterday.  

Cops say an infant died and 8 others were injured in the incident, which reporteldy happened after the lorry's brakes failed.
