pdrm warns against demonstrations during asean summit

PDRM is warning against holding any demonstrations or rallies that could disrupt routes or proceedings during next week’s ASEAN Summit.

The KL police chief says cops have received intelligence about planned demonstrations, but warns that stern action will be taken against those who disobey the order.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister says Russian president Vladimir Putin may be attending the ASEAN Summit and its related meetings.

However, for now, Moscow has only confirmed the participation of its deputy PM.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also says he plans to use his upcoming meeting with Donald Trump at the Summit to discuss trade and investments as well as the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

The Higher Education Ministry says the institutions have been requested to check on the location and times of the closures to ensure that their students and staff are not affected by the disruptions.
