The government is stepping up efforts to prevent children from accessing age-inappropriate content.

As such, it’s considering a proposal to implement Know Your Customer identity verification for online games and apps.

Government spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil explained that this is following growing concerns about children's safety when using various online platforms which have become increasingly accessible.

He adds that this includes a recent case where a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted after befriending an adult through an app.

MAHB has instructed the contractors involved in the KLIA Aerotrain service to take immediate corrective action.

This, as the train service has been plagued with service disruptions in recent months.

MAHB adds that preliminary assessments indicated a declining trend in the reliability of the system.

But for now, shuttle buses will be deployed daily between 11PM and 5AM as part of immediate measures.

The 2025 SPM exams will begin this Monday, November 3rd and run until December 23rd.

The Education Ministry adds that the sitting will involve over 413 thousand candidates at over 3,300 examination centers nationwide.
