What Caused The ECRL Canopy Collapse?
Nov 19, 2025

Authorities have identified the possible cause of yesterday's steel canopy collapse along an ECRL construction site near Batu Caves.
According to the HR Ministry, checks by the Dept of Occupational Safety and Health revealed the incident happened after a sky lift crane collided with the steel structure.
It adds that some high-risk works were being conducted without a permit from the main contractor.
The steel canopy fell onto a passing car, but the driver was unhurt.
