Sabah Cabinet Sworn In

10 Sabah state assemblymen have been sworn in as members of the state's cabinet.
They comprising 7 members of GRS, and one each from UPKO, Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional.
Three deputy chief ministers were appointed: GRS's Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, PBS's Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, and UPKO's Datuk Ewon Benedick.

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has ruled out any major reshuffles for the FEDERAL Cabinet, as only a few vacancies need to be filled.
This, following the earlier resignations of the Economy, Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, and Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministers.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has to step down as Investment, Trade and Industry Minister once his senatorship ends tomorrow.

The govt's proposed Anti-Bullying Bill has been tabled at the Dewan Rakyat for its first reading.
According to the Law and Institutional Reform Minister, the bill covers physical bullying, the use of abusive or demeaning language, and discrimination based on a victim's sex, race, religion or disability.
It also protects against online bullying, as well as social isolation.

The Higher Education Ministry says PTPTN MAY extend its study loan repayment waivers to top-performing private university students, depending on the fund's financial capabilities.
Currently, such an exemption is only given to top-scoring B40 and M40 students at public unis.

- JKM's portal says just over 9,000 people are currently housed at temporary flood shelters in 7 states.
- A suspect accused of molesting a teenager at a flood evacuation centre in Kelantan last week has had his remand extended until Thursday.
- The Education Ministry has suspended several officers who were reportedly arrested in the recent high-profile raid at a wellness spa in Chow Kit, KL.
- In response to the raid, the govt said that DBKL will step up its monitoring and enforcement of licenced premises in the city.
- And the Oxford Dictionary has unveiled its 2025 Word of the Year, which is Rage Bait, which it describes as online content that's deliberately designed to make people angry.
