No Litterbugs Spared From New Ruling

Foreigners and even kids will not be exempt from the new fines and community service orders for those caught littering in public spaces.
The Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation or SWCorp says the rules will be enforced equally for everyone, to encourage people to keep their surroundings clean.
The new ruling, which carries a maximum two thousand ringgit fine or an up to 12-hour community service order, will come into force on January 1st.

The number of flood evacuees in Pahang remains on an upward trend, rising to over 13,300 at last look.
The vast majority of the victims are in Kuantan.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s portal…there are also over 800 victims in Terengganu…350-plus evacuees in Johor…while just under 200 have been displaced in Kelantan.

Motorists will get to enjoy a 50 percent discount on toll rates over the Christmas period.
The Works Ministry says the discount applies to private vehicles using all toll plazas except at national border entry points, on the 23rd and 24th of December.
