Authorities are conducting further investigations following this morning's explosion at a private university in Bukit Damansara, KL.
According to the Fire and Rescue Dept, the incident is believed to have been caused by a gas leak from an air-conditioning compressor that was undergoing maintenance.
A maintenance contractor died after succumbing to his injuries in hospital.
Nine other people suffered injuries including four students.
The area has since been declared safe.
Meanwhile, KL police say only a few students were on campus at the time of the blast, as most of them were still on holiday.

The Education Minister has called for patience, while it conducts a comprehensive study into the proposal to reinstate the UPSR and PT3 exams.
According to Fadhlina Sidek, the study will, among other things, gauge the effectiveness of the school-based assessment system.
The ministry will also get feedback from multiple parties, especially parents.
Fadhlina expects the study to be completed this year.
Several groups, including parents, have called for the centralised exams to be reinstated, after the UPSR's abolishment in 2021, and PT3 a year later.
Separately, Fadlina says that the ministry is drafting a new Child Protection Policy for schools, which must be signed by all stakeholders.
It's part of ongoing efforts to curb bullying.
She said this on the first day of the new school term today.
Speaking of which, she said that 400,000 pupils enrolled for Year One this year, while another 400,000 started their secondary education, in Form One.
