Universities to fully reopen starting October

Starting October, all students from both private and local universities will be allowed to return to campus.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad says the decision was made to ensure tertiary education isn't compromised.
For now, universities and colleges nationwide will welcome four more categories of students to campus this month.
This includes 30% of local students of private unis.
Meanwhile for public universities, first to fourth year students will return to campus, but only those who need to undergo specific practical courses such as clinical training.
Public uni students without proper learning facilities and Internet connection will also be allowed to return.
Malaysia reported zero local COVID-19 transmissions
Malaysia reported just 3 COVID-19 cases today.
All the new cases are imported infections, meaning there were NO local transmissions today,
The number of active cases has dropped to 70, after 5 more patients were released from hospital.
The death toll remains unchanged at 121.
Spouses living abroad allowed to enter country with spouse visa
Those living abroad whose spouses are Malaysian nationals are allowed to enter the country in the event of an emergency.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this is provided they have a Spouse Visa.
He adds that those without one can register with the Immigration Department.
