MOH worried about predicted rise in imported Covid-19 cases
Sep 02, 2020
The Health Ministry is worried about its prediction of a rise in Covid-19 import cases!
Its director general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says this is partly due to winter weather conditions in several parts of the world.
Dr Noor Hisham also stressed on the need for continued border controls, in light of the current development, and called for more stringent controls.
This comes as we reported 14 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, 5 of which were imported, while the remaining 9 were local transmissions.

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the government has done it's best to care for the people, especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He adds that his PN administration did not have a honeymoon period to enjoy as a new government, when they came into power in March.
Muhyiddin said this in his speech at the Perikatan Nasional Administration’s Half-Year Convention, yesterday.
UMNO says they have started preparations for GE15 and is expecting to finalise the seat allocations among Muafakat Nasional parties by the end of this month.
Its deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan told The Star, the main priority is to iron out the parliamentary seat allocation between the major parties.
He says this is important to avoid three-cornered fights among Muafakat and Barisan Nasional parties.
