SUKE mishasp: highway operator issues stop-work order

A woman reportedly cheated death, after her car was crushed by a falling concrete slab from an elevated highway project in Bandar Tasik Selatan, yesterday evening.
Cheras police say the woman was rescued by members of the public before being treated for minor injuries in hospital.
Meanwhile, the highway project's developer has issued a stop-work order, and has vowed to cooperate with authorities investigating the incident.

MOSTI: Malaysia will sign up for COVAX initiative
Malaysia will be joining 170 other countries in the COVAX plan, a global initiative to supply countries with a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry says, the government is currently in talks with COVAX's coordinators on Malaysia's participation in the sceme.
MOSTI adds that Malaysia also plans to join a pact with the Chinese government, to gain access to vaccines developed by pharmaceutical companies in China.

Sabah reports another COVID-19 cluster
A new COVID-19 cluster has been confirmed in Sabah.
The Health Ministry says the Bakau cluster was found in Semporna, following the death of a patient on Friday.
Two more positive cases have been detected, and so far over 100 individuals have been screened.
This, as 20 new coronavirus cases were reported yesterday, while the overall death toll has risen to 130.
