GRS Claims Sabah Election Win
Sep 27, 2020
Gerakan Rakyat Sabah coalition has claimed victory in the state's election, after winning 38, of the 73 seats being contested.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal's Parti Warisan Sabah is the single party with the most seats, with 29.
Voter turnout stood at 66%, less than the 70% turnout that the Election Commission had predicted.
Despite this, the EC says it's satisfied with the turnout considering the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in the state.

Mandatory quarantine for those returning from Sabah
Those returning from Sabah to other parts of the country will be required to quarantine at home, until lab results certify they are free of Covid-19.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says screening and testing will be carried out at all entry points for those arriving from Sabah, amid a spike in coronavirus cases there.
It comes into effect starting today until October 10th.
