Health DG: Rise in Covid-19 cases in the Peninsular linked to Sabah returnees
Sep 30, 2020
The rise in Covid-19 cases in the Peninsular has been attributed to individuals with a history of travel to Sabah.
The Health Ministry noted that a total of 63 cases involved those who had just returned from Sabah since last Sunday.
This comes as we reported 101 new Covid-19 infections nationwide yesterday, with Sabah recording most cases with 73 infections and Selangor 15.
There are currently 1,062 active cases in the country.
There are no plans to shut down shopping malls despite Covid-19 cases being detected at several venues in the Klang Valley.
The Health Ministry says it will instead conduct a risk evaluation in the area and advise shopping mall operators to disinfect the sites.
This follows a number of Covid-19 cases involving the staff at 5 shopping malls in the Klang Valley in the last 10 days.
Today is the last day to renew your road tax and driving licence, which expired during the MCO period.
JPJ says the 70% discount on its summons will also expire today.
As such, it urged all motorists to get these done early to avoid issues during the last-minute rush.
