Two new Covid-19 clusters detected in Selangor & Melaka
Oct 20, 2020
The Health Ministry has detected two new clusters, bringing the total of active clusters in the country to 87.
One of the new clusters is the Hentian cluster, which is based at the Hulu Langat district in Selangor.
Another cluster has been dubbed the Bukit cluster and involves the Melaka districts of Melaka Tengah, Alor Gajah and Jasin.
The Health Ministry has warned that we could see a four-digit spike in daily cases by the end of the month if the Covid-19 infection rate is not reduced.
The country’s current infection rate value of 1.5 has to be brought down to less than 1.
This comes as we reported 3 more deaths from Covid-19 yesterday, alongside 865 new cases, bringing the total active cases to 7,456.
Water supply in the Klang Valley will resume from 8am today and will be fully restored in stages between tomorrow and Friday.
Air Selangor says all four water treatment plants have resumed operations and will maximise water supply output and fill up the main pipes.
Almost 1,300 areas are suffering from dry taps after water treatment operations were suspended due to contamination of raw water from Sungai Selangor.
