Msia to receive Covid-19 vaccine phase 3 clinical study next week
Dec 01, 2020
Malaysia is expected to receive a third phase clinical trial report on the COVID-19 vaccine next week.
The Health Ministry says the report will be provided by one of the 10 vaccine research companies that had negotiated with Malaysia before this.
Earlier, PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced a deal sealed with US pharmaceutical company Pfizer to procure 12.8 million doses of the vaccine.
The Health Ministry has discovered three new Covid-19 clusters, while declaring the end of another five.
The new clusters detected in the Klang Valley and Johor raise the number of active clusters in the country now to 181.
Meanwhile, the number of new Covid-19 cases reported yesterday dipped to 1,212 cases, with the bulk of which were in Selangor.
The government will announce if the conditional MCO imposed on several states will be lifted or extended sometime this week.
This will be decided based on the advice of the health ministry, after it has conducted health assessments on the affected states.
