Inter-district, inter-state travel allowed again

Dec 06, 2020

Starting Monday, inter-state and inter-district travel will be allowed, except for areas still under the Enhanced MCO.

The Senior Minster for Security says police will no longer set up road blocks at state borders, but will instead tighten their checks to ensure people comply with SOP’s.

There will also be no more limit to the number of passengers in a car, and will now follow the capacity of the vehicle.

This, as Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the Conditional MCO in Sabah, KL and most of Selangor will continue until December 20th.

Meanwhile, most other states will revert back to the Recovery MCO, with the exception of several districts and sub-districts that are still reporting high Covid-19 cases.

This came as 1,123 new Covid-19 cases were reported nationwide yesterday, with Sabah, KL and Selangor accounting for most of the infections.

Yesterday also saw four new fatalities recorded, bringing the country’s overall death toll to 380.

Pahang, meanwhile, has only 5 evacuees…while over in Perak…some 27 people are seeking shelter at relief centers in the state.
