Official in corruption probe remanded for 7 days

The MACC has secured a 7-day remand order against the secretary-general of a government ministry for alleged corruption, money laundering and abuse of power.
The KL Magistrates Court also remanded the suspect's 2 sons, to facilitate investigations.
The MACC arrested the official at his home in Subang Jaya yesterday, seizing cash and gold bars worth around 3 million ringgit.
