Fewer fatal accidents reported over CNY

The number of fatal accidents during the Chinese New Year Ops Selamat campaign fell 10 percent compared to last year.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police says there were 235 fatal accidents during the operation, mainly involving motorcyclists. 

However, the total number of accidents rose slightly to 20 thousand, while 255 thousand summonses were issued.
