A 7-year-old boy in Sarawak has tested positive for rabies.

A 7-year-old boy in Sarawak has tested positive for rabies, just as the situation nationwide seems to be settling down. 

The child from Serian was bitten by a dog back in June and has been vaccinated 3 times since the bite.

However, he began to experience fever, coughing and vomiting after the 3rd vaccination.

He is in critical condition in hospital.

5 people have died of rabies in the state so far.
