A teacher in Sabah needed 17 stiches on her head after she was attacked by a student while praying at the school surau.
The Form 1 student bashed her on the head with a rock, allegedly to avoid being caught stealing.
The student was from another school.
Meanwhile, the teacher is reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect is in custody.
