The number of hardcore poor in Malaysia dropped from 3.8 percent in 2009, to just 0.4 percent last year.
In Sabah alone, the rate dropped about 17 percent over 8 years.
The PM said this and more on his blog in the run-up to the tabling of Budget 2018 on Friday.
