At least 2 people have been killed and more than 200 others injured by a strong 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan.
Rescuers are still trying to free people from a partially collapsed hotel and a residential building in the city of Hualien.
The army has been called in while people reported feeling the quake in the capital of Taipei, more than 160km away.
