About 160,000 Malaysians are barred from leaving the country!
The Inland Revenue Board told Sin Chew, as of last year, these people owe almost 5 billion ringgit in unpaid taxes.
Those barred from leaving Malaysia either failed to respond to the IRB's summonses, or did not pay their taxes on time.
The 2018 income tax season has started, with the submission date for BE Forms on 30th April.
