The contribution rate for the Employment Insurance System will be reduced from 0.5 percent to 0.2 percent when it's tabled in the Dewan Rakyat this month.
The amount will be contributed equally by both employers and employees.
The Human Resources Ministry claims this is the lowest rate of contribution in the world.
