40 people cheated in PPR housing scam

More than 40 people have been cheated out of more than RM250,000 by scammers promising them housing under the Government's People's Housing Program.

The cuplrits have been going around claiming they have connections who can ensure applications are approved, even if potential buyers do not qualify for PPR housing.

The Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Ministry has called on victims of the scam to lodge police reports.
