Road users who abuse emergency lanes to be hauled straight to court

Road users who abuse the emergency lanes or overtake on double lines will be hauled straight to court during this Chinese New Year Ops Selamat.
The Transport Ministry says there would be no compromise for errant road users heading back to their hometowns during the festivity.
It says this is in efforts to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities, as the death rate due to road accidents has risen to 7,000 a year.
The Chinese New Year Ops Selamat will run from January 21st till February 5th.
