3 people likely to have contracted leptospirosis in Kelantan

The 3 people in Kelantan, who tested positive for leptospirosis, had likely contracted the disease within the state, and not during their visit to Selangor.

The Health Ministry says based on findings, the trio had probably developed symptoms 2 weeks before travelling to Kajang for their family gathering.

It adds that the infection could have been caused by the floodwaters in their hometown, Tanah Merah recently, but it will take a week or two to confirm this.
