Laid-off private sector workers set to receive allowances

Laid-off private sector workers will receive a 600 ringgit monthy allowances from next year.

But the provision under the Employment Insurance System will only last for 3 months.

Employees will see 0.2 percent of their salaries deducted to contribute to the EIS from next year.
