Step-father of boy who's believed to have died from abuse, remanded

The step-father of a 5-year-old boy in Terengganu who was believed to have died from abuse, has been remanded for seven days.

The 38-year-old is being investigated for murder. 

This, after a post-mortem revealed that the child died from injuries as a result of being beaten. 

The cause of death was not consistent with the step-father's claim, that the boy had fallen off a motorcycle.
