UMNO Targets Younger Members

UMNO has decided to lower its membership age from 18 to 16.

Its president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says the move is to fulfill the hopes of grassroot members and will be in line with other structural changes.

Other changes that are being made are to clear up the membership list of members who had died or left the party.

Meanwhile, UMNO has also decided to set up a council of advisors chaired by Gua Musang MP Tan Sri Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.


Rafizi Gets Partners for PKR Campaign

Rafizi Ramli has confirmed that there are 8 running mates in his campaign to become deputy president of PKR, as shown on a campaign poster.

This includes Nurul Izzah Anwar, Datuk Johari Abdul, and Fuziah Salleh.

The line-up of his allies are believed to be contesting the 4 vice-president's posts and leadership of the women's and youth wings.

According to Free Malaysia Today, Rafizi is expected to announce the full line-up tomorrow at a gathering in Ampang.


Government Staff Told To Be On The Alert For Sabotage

All high-ranking civil servants have been instructed to investigate alleged sabotage attempts against the new government appointees.

The Chief Secretary to the Government also reminded them to remain vigilant towards any possible acts of treason in the govt.

He adds strict action will be taken against the perpetrators.


10 New Chinese Schools In The Pipeline

The government will carry out the construction of 10 new Chinese vernacular schools in the country.

The Education Minister says six of the SJKCs will be built at locations already identified in Penang and Selangor.

The remaining four will be built in Johor.
