MOF supports EPF housewife scheme

The Finance Ministry fully backs the proposal to introduce an EPF savings scheme for housewives.
Minister Lim Guan Eng says the scheme would transfer 2% of the husband's existing 11% EPF contribution to the wife's EPF account.
He adds, the Women and Family Development Ministry will work with the EPF to prepare a cabinet memorandum.
The document will give further details of the new scheme and its estimated cost. among others.
