Kit Siang calls for judiciary chiefs to resign

Jun 08, 2018

DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has called on the Chief Justice and the Court of Appeal president to resign.

Lim says they had their terms extended last year under the previous government, despite being over the mandatory retirement age of 66 years and six months.

The extensions were even challenged in court by The Malaysian Bar and a number of other individuals.

Lim says their resignations will help boost efforts for judicial and legal reforms.
