May 21, 2019

DAP: We're not pushing for Maszlee's ouster

Meanwhile, a Change.org petition for the PM to replace Dr Maszlee has received over 100,000 signatures.

The Education Minister's most recent controversy stems from him linking the 90:10 matriculation quota system with alleged unequal job opportunities for bumiputeras in the private sector.

The National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) still owes the government over RM250 million.

The Finance Minister says that includes interest and late interest charges up till April.

Meanwhile, NFC has found a buyer who is willing to settle the outstanding amount within 3 months from an agreement with the government, to restructure the company.

The buy-out is pending approval from the government.

Lynas is not leaving Malaysia.

Rumours have been rife since it signed an MOU to build a rare-earth processing factory in the US.

However, the company clarified the MOU has no effect on its controversial operations in Gebeng, Pahang.
