Police identified border officers who allowed smuggling to happen

Police have identified the border patrol officers who were caught on video taking bribes from smugglers along the Thai-Malaysian border.

The IGP says authorities have been investigating the officers, since it received the videos from the MACC last month. 

Snippets of the videos showed smugglers brazenly carrying sacks across the border, in Padang Besar.  

The clips also showed Malaysian police personnel ignoring the smugglers as they drove past with the smuggled goods.
 

Deepavali is on Oct 27th

The Malaysia Hindu Sangam has clarified that Deepavali willl fall on October 27th, this year.

This follows confusion after some calendars wrongly said that it would come a day earlier, on October 26th.

9 students at a primary school in Pekan, Pahang have been sent to hospital, after they were stung by a swarm of bees.

They reportedly stepped on a beehive when they were practicing for a cross-country event.
