Govt mulls M40 eligibility for petrol subsidy scheme

The govt is now looking at the criteria, that will allow some members of the M40 group to be elegible for the upcoming petrol subsidy scheme.
The Domestic Trade and Consumerism Ministry says it's targeting 5 million people from the group to enjoy the subsidy
This is on top of the elegible recipients from the B40 group.

A Malaysian-born con-artist has been sentenced to 51 months jail in the US on charges of ID theft and fraud.
According to reports, the 59-year-old woman stole the identities of at least six people, and used those ID's for scams.
Among other things, she managed to convince people that she was the granddaughter of Singapore’s first PM Lee Kuan Yew, as well as being a close friend of former US President Barack Obama.
She duped her victims into giving her money to invest in business ventures, but and then spent the cash for high-end cars, plastic surgery and designer handbags.

A British court has slapped manslaughter charges against a lorry driver, after 39 migrants were found dead inside his refrigerated trailer in Essex.
He is also facing charges of people trafficking, immigration and money laundering offences.
