No coronavirus here

No traces of the SARS-like coronavirus from China have been detected here in Malaysia.
The Health Ministry says more than a quarter of a million passengers and airline crew have been screened at KLIA over the past week.
61 were found to have high body temperature, but were only suffering from common fever.
This comes as the US reported its first case of the Wuhan coronavirus, in a patient living in Washington.

Be mindful of the new child car seat ruling
Authorities will be monitoring the compliance to the new child safety seat ruling.
The JPJ and Road Safety Department are using the upcoming Chinese New Year balik kampung rush to raise awareness about the ruling, and advise motorists about the importance of using child seats.
Currently, no summonses are being issued to those who fail to follow the ruling.
Speaking of the Balik Kampung rush, PLUS has closed all entry lane reload facilities until February 3rd, to ensure a smooth flow of traffic at toll plazas.
Its expecting some two million vehicles on its highways over the festive period.

Skills training for youths will be funded by HRDF
The government says it will use the Human Resources Development Fund to help pay for skills training for youths from low-income families.
This is part of measures to provide more opportunities for students to pursue their education at vocational centers nationwide.
