Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine first batch to arrive soon

The first batch of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is expected to arrive on Malaysian shores on the 26th of this month.
The Health Director General says it will then take up to two weeks for the vaccines to be distributed in stages nationwide.
Malaysia has purchased over 12 million doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, and has agreed to purchase another 12 million of the same vaccine.

Selangor and Johor each reported over 1,000 COVID-19 new cases
Malaysia has reported 4,214 new COVID-19 cases today.
Selangor and Johor recorded the highest number of infections with over 1,000 cases each.
The Health Ministry has also reported ten more fatalities raising the death toll to 770.

Malaysians in Myanmar told to be calm after military declares state of emergency

All Malaysians in Myanmar have been urged to remain calm and to continue following safety advisories of the local authorities.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry said this following the Myanmar military's declaration of a one-year state of emergency, after detaining several of its government leaders.
The ministry adds that it views the situation seriously and will continue to advocate for peace and stability, which are essential in the progress of all ASEAN members.
