Another 2k new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia has reported over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases for a 12th consecutive day.
The Health Ministry recorded 2,776 infections, with Selangor, Sarawak, and Kelantan having the most cases.
Perlis is the only state without new cases today.
The death toll has also risen to 1,449, after 13 patients succumbed to the virus.

Don’t come to school if you or your family are sick
Students who show signs of infection are not required to attend school, as a precaution against the coronavirus.
The Health Ministry says they should also stay at home, if their family members are unwell.
This is after some COVID-19 cases were detected at schools linked to family members at home.

Kids aged 12-17 could get COVID-19 vaccine
Children aged 12 and above could be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Minister-in-charge of the National Immunisation Program Khairy Jamaluddin says its open to considering the matter, once it receives clinical data from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
On another note, Khairy believes public confidence for COVID-19 vaccines will be boosted during Phase 2 of the immunization program
