Selangor open to accepting total lockdown

Selangor is open to accepting a total lockdown should the federal government decide to do so.
Its Menteri Besar says this is because the power to impose a total lockdown lies with the federal government.
But he acknowledged that this move would affect the livelihoods of many residents there, but noted that public safety should be the main priority.
Malaysia has recorded its highest-ever number of daily Covid-19 cases.
6,075 infections were reported yesterday, along with 46 fatalities.
Selangor alone reported more than 2 thousand cases ahead of Johor and KL.
Only Perlis, Putrajaya and Labuan had case numbers of below 100.
A record high 22 Covid-19 clusters have been detected in the country.
The Health Ministry says 8 of them were workplace clusters, 7 were community clusters, 6 involved religious gatherings and 1 was an education sector cluster.
