New COVID-19 cases pass 7,000 mark

Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases passed the 7 thousand mark for the first time in over a month.
The Health Ministry reported 7,654 infections today, with Selangor, KL, and Negeri Sembilan accounting for more than half of the total.
It also recorded 103 fatalities, raising the death toll to 5,677.

Malaysia administers record-breaking 300 thousand COVID-19 vaccine doses
The country’s number of daily COVID-19 vaccinations has hit an all-time high.
More than 300 thousand people were given the jab yesterday, with most of the doses given to first time recipients.
All in, over 9.3 million doses have been administered under the National Immunisation Program.

Penang denies offering COVID-19 vaccine for RM50
A viral message alleging residents in Penang were offered the COVID-19 vaccine for RM50 is fake.
The Seberang Perai and Penang Island City Councils denied collaborating with any parties for such offers.
Authorities stressed that vaccines are fully administer under the National Immunisation Program.
