Daily COVID vaccinations hit new record

The National COVID-19 Immunisation Program has now administered more than 19 and a half million vaccine doses.

Over 6.3 million people are now fully vaccinated, which accounts for 27% of the adult population.

Meanwhile, Malaysia reached a new record for daily vaccinations, after more than 556,000 people took the shot yesterday.

It's also the fourth day in a row that daily injections crossed the half a million mark.

Digital consent form now MySejahtera

A new feature is now available on the MySejahtera app, allowing first time COVID-19 vaccine recipients to fill up a digital consent form.

Authorities say such recipients should fill the form before arriving at immunization centers.

Those who have already signed a physical form are not required to do so again on the digital version.

New COVID-19 cases dip to 16k

Malaysia reported a drop in new COVID-19 infections, with 16,840 cases today.

Selangor continues to record the bulk of the total, accounting for over 6,000 infections.

Meanwhile, Kedah, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Sabah had over 1,000 cases each.
