PM to table vote of confidence in September

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will call for a vote of confidence during next month's Parliament session.
He says the vote will determine his support among lawmakers, amid the current political climate
This, after UMNO announced that it withdrew its support for the Perikatan Nasional government.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin adds that the government will continue to function, as the nation continues to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
This will ensure that the national vaccination programme, and government aid will continue without interruption.

New record for daily COVID-19 cases and deaths

Malaysia reported a record breaking 19,819 new COVID-19 cases today.
According to the Health Ministry, Selangor alone accounted for over 8 thousand infections.
Meanwhile, it also recorded 257 more fatalities, which is the highest number of deaths to date.

Over 22 mil COVID-19 vaccine doses now administered
More than 22 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have already been given out nationwide,
Almost 7 and a half million people are now fully immunised, which accounts for almost 32% of the adult population.
Yesterday, some 480,000 people were given the injection.
