New COVID-19 cases in Malaysia has hit a new record, with 21,668 new infections reported today
Selangor and KL had 8 thousand new cases combined.
Kedah and Sabah had over 2 thousand infections each while Johor, Sarawak and Penang registered over a thousand new cases.
Labuan, Putrajaya and Perlis had double-digit new cases.

Expert: Make vaccinations compulsory for restaurant staff
Authorities should make it compulsory for all restaurant workers be vaccinated, or get tested for Covid-19 once a week, before dine-ins are allowed.
A health expert at USM told FMT that eateries should also ensure proper ventilation, with fresh air flowing through at all times.
Under current SOPs, there is no need for restaurant workers to be immunised, but premises must put up a notice stating how many of their staff have been vaccinated.

Retail Association wants shops to reopen for the fully-vaccinated
The government should consider reopening the retail industry for those who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19
The Malaysia Retail Chain Association this this will ensure the survival of the sector, which has been hit hard by the pandemic.
