Stern action will be taken against those who ignore SOPs, in particular physical distancing, while enjoying recreational activities in public areas.
The police say they will do so, if things spiral out of control and when there are too many visitors.
This, following viral videos and pictures showing the public bathing in rivers and visiting recreational parks disregarding physical distancing last weekend.
The number of patients in Covid-19 ICUs remained high, with 1,312 patients currently seeking treatment.
The Health Ministry reported 16,073 Covid-19 cases yesterday, with Sarawak having more cases than the entire Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan combined.
Starting today, Covid-19 test results are no longer required for interdistrict travel across Sarawak except for Bintulu.
However, a police permit is still mandatory for those who wish to travel interdistrict.
