International tourists could fully return soon

Malaysia hopes to fully welcome back foreign tourists from as early as this December.
Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri says this will depend on the success of the international COVID-19 bubble concept in Langkawi.
The Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister adds that it is in the final stage of preparations for foreign arrivals on the island starting November 15th.

KJ elected VP of 75th World Health Assembly
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has been elected vice president of the upcoming 75th World Health Assembly.
The Assembly will take place in Geneva next May.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry reported a rise in new COVID-19 cases, at 6,148 today

MMA wants higher taxes on sugar, alcohol, cigarettes
The government has been urged to increase the taxes on sugar, alcohol, and cigarettes.
The Malaysian Medical Association believes that by doing so, it would lower the consumption of such items.
This would eventually lead to more people living healthier lifestyles, as it would reduce the risk of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and high blood pressure.
