Stiffer penalties targeted at companies that repeatedly trigger clusters

The proposed amendments to raise the maximum compounds for Covid-19 SOP violations are focused on punishing repeat offenders.

There was a drop in Covid-19 cases in the country yesterday, after the Health Ministry reported 3,900 infections.
This is almost 200 cases lower compared to the previous day’s figure.
Another 41 Covid-19 cases have been detected at the Nilai Polytechnic, bringing the case tally there to date to 52.
38 close contacts had been isolated in a different hostel block.
